INCORPORATED ON THE 18 TH
JULY, 1961 as a company without share capital UNDER THE
COMPANIES ACT, 1956,the HOTEL & RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION OF
Eastern India ( initaially named as HOTEL & RESTAURANT
ASSOCIATION OF Kolkata Region until 1983) was formed WITH JUST
SEVEN MEMBERS.
Today the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India (
HRAEI) has now a wide regional footprint with membership
comprising 532 Hotels, Restaurants and Associates located in the
13 states and Union Territory in the eastern part of India.A
non- commercial and non- profit body, the Association is the
premier industry association in our part of the country
dedicated to the service of hospitality and tourism industry. It
is also one of the four organization members forming and
governing the Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Associations of
India – better known as FHRAI.The Association is governed the by
a 24 member board called Managing Committee the members of which
are all elected at the Annual General Meetings as per the
provisions of the Companies Act. The Managing Committee is
headed by the President as provided by the Articles of
Association of HRAEI. |
